Job summary

Brunel Seeks a Lead Mechanical / Piping Commissioning Engineer for Boden, Sweden. The role drives commissioning, pre-commissioning, start-up and performance testing of mechanical equipment and piping systems, ensuring readiness and safe operation.

You will coordinate with CSU, engineering and operations teams to achieve project milestones. Requires extensive knowledge of static and rotating equipment, leak testing, flange management, and compliance with ASME/API standards.

Qualifications

• Leadership and coordination of commissioning teams across disciplines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management throughout project phases.
• Fluent English; Swedish language skills are advantageous but not essential.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and start-up activities for mechanical equipment and piping systems; coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop and execute commissioning plans, schedules, procedures and test requirements for mechanical completion and start-up.
• Oversee system readiness and commissioning priorities aligning with project schedules.
• Support plant start-up, performance testing and transition to stable operations.
