Role Description The Senior Mechanical HVDC Plant Designer will be responsible for designing mechanical systems and components for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) plants, ensuring reliability, safety, and compliance with technical standards. In this full-time, on-site role based in Ludvika or Västerås, the designer will create and revise detailed 3D models and drawings using CAD tools, prepare technical documentation, and support layout planning for HVDC stations and associated equipment. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, reviewing specifications, coordinating with suppliers and manufacturing teams, and participating in design reviews and risk assessments. The role also involves supporting installation and commissioning activities, resolving mechanical design issues, and contributing to continuous improvement of design processes and standards.
