Join our team of problem solvers, technology enthusiasts, and experienced engineers! We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a passion for mechanical design, product development, and developing advanced electronic products and systems.

About The Role

As a Mechanical Engineer at Qamcom, you will work with mechanical design and product development of advanced electronic systems, including applications within RF, radio, radar, and other high-tech industries.

You will be involved in different stages of the product development process, from early concepts and prototyping to detailed design, verification, and industrialization.

The role involves developing mechanical solutions for electronics-intensive products, where factors such as material selection, thermal management, mechanical stability, manufacturability, and integration of electronic components are important considerations.

You will collaborate closely with experienced engineers within hardware, RF, software, and systems engineering to develop innovative and technically challenging solutions.

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced and solution-oriented Mechanical Engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of mechanics and electronics. You have a strong understanding of mechanical design principles and enjoy developing solutions where performance, functionality, and manufacturability need to be carefully balanced. You are comfortable working independently as well as in multidisciplinary teams and enjoy taking responsibility for your designs throughout the development process.

We believe you have:

• At least 6 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and product development
• Strong experience in 3D CAD design, preferably SolidWorks or Creo
• Experience in mechanical design, material selection, and manufacturing methods for technically advanced products
• A solid understanding of the product development lifecycle, from concept to production
• Experience working with PLM systems
• Fluency in Swedish and English
• Valid Swedish work permit

Nice to have

• Experience with lightweight mechanical design and structural optimization
• Experience with mechanical design for RF, radio, radar, or antenna systems
• Experience with thermal management and cooling solutions for electronic systems
• Basic understanding of electronics and hardware design
• Experience with advanced materials, such as aluminum alloys, composites, or other lightweight materials
• Knowledge and experience in FEM analysis
