Job summary

Munters seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Lead to own mechanical design across new and existing product development projects. You will guide concepts through industrialization, translate requirements into technical specs, and ensure manufacturable, cost‑effective solutions while balancing performance and lead times.

You will develop 3D CAD models in SolidWorks, define architecture, review designs, and mentor engineers.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in mechanical product development.
• Strong CAD skills in SolidWorks and experience with PDM/ePDM systems.
• Experience designing sheet metal products and components.
• Experience performing Finite Element Analysis to validate designs.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and product verification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design activities across new product development and existing projects.
• Act as the mechanical technical authority and interface to the Project Manager.
• Translate Product Demand into clear technical specifications and manufacturable solutions.
• Develop 3D CAD models, assemblies and layouts in SolidWorks.
• Lead design reviews, FMEA and verification plans for robust designs.
• Define mechanical architecture and provide direction to engineers.
• Mentor mechanical engineers and promote engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Purchasing.
