Qualifications

• PhD or MSc with strong materials modeling experience.
• Background in physical metallurgy and steels is preferred.
• Experience with physics-informed ML for materials design.
• Ability to translate materials knowledge into model logic and workflows.
• Strong scripting in Python for data treatment and prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Develop ML and physics-informed models for steel metallurgy and heat treatment.
• Define assumptions, validation data, and acceptance criteria for models.
• Improve AI model performance with materials science expertise.
• Identify data correlations among process, structure, and properties.
• Retrieve, structure, and curate materials data from multiple sources.
• Use Python workflows for data treatment, model execution, and visualization.
• Test outputs and benchmark against other tools.
• Communicate model behavior and results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to documentation, testing, and validation reports.
