Job summary

SSC Space seeks a System Analyst in the Infrastructure and Cybersecurity (I&C) team to support scientific IT infrastructure and security across the department. You will oversee Linux administration, automation, patch management and network integration for mission-critical systems.

Preferred candidates have RHCE, CCNA, and experience with monitoring/CMDB tools. The role involves teleworking options and a focus on reliable, scalable infrastructure for space missions.

Qualifications

• Expert-level knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8/9) including storage, patching, user administration and performance tuning.
• Deep proficiency in creating and deploying Ansible Playbooks and Roles.

Responsibilities

• Linux Administration: manage and optimize RHEL environments for high availability.
• Automation & Configuration Management: design and maintain automated workflows and playbooks.
• Lifecycle & Patch Management: standardize and manage software repositories and deployments.
• Network Integration: configure and maintain core networking components securely.
