Job summary

emagine is seeking a Senior Kafka Platform Engineer to own and develop the Kafka platform on Kubernetes in Stockholm. You will run multi-cluster Kafka environments, advise Java/Spring Boot teams, and manage HiveMQ brokers in a hybrid setup.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years of Kafka experience, strong Kubernetes know-how, and hands-on DevOps tooling with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Helm, and Terraform. This is a senior, hands-on role in a retail client environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of platform-level Kafka experience.
• Strong AKS/Kubernetes experience.
• Java and Spring Boot experience.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Helm, Terraform.
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk.
• HiveMQ experience.

Our client in the retail sector is seeking a senior Platform Engineer to own and develop their Kafka platform on Kubernetes (you build it, you run it) and act as Kafka expert for the development teams.
