Job summary

ComeOn Group in Stockholm, Sweden, is seeking a Senior Java developer to help build the best online gambling site. You will work across the full stack in a collaborative team with Devs, QAs and a PO, spanning backend services, integrations and potential frontend work.

You will use Java, Springboot, Kafka, Docker, MongoDB, MySQL and React, deployed as Debian packages or in Kubernetes. You’ll read code written over 15 years by ~60 developers and find measured paths to modernization.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in using Java.
• 6+ years of previous work experience.
• Experience with web application/service development.
• SQL knowledge.
• You know how to get legacy code under test.
• You need to be a communicative member of an agile delivery team consisting of Devs, QAs and PO.
• Experience with Tomcat, Maven, Spring, MongoDB, MySQL, Nginx, Linux, Jenkins, GIT, Docker, Kubernetes, and GCloud is a plus.
• You must be fluent in written and spoken English.

We are looking for a Java developer to help us build the best gambling site on the Internet. You will work with all parts of the system and all stages of the development process in a team-oriented environment. This includes integrations with external systems, the development of internal components and subsystems, and potentially also frontend development for mobile and desktop devices. You as a developer will work closely together with the business side of the organization to develop and implement new features. You will be working with modern technologies such as Java, Kafka, Docker, MongoDB, MySQL, React, Springboot, deployed as a Debian package, or in Kubernetes. The role also involves reading code written over 15 years, by around 60 developers, and finding manageable paths to modernize it in risk-adverse increments.

• Your Core Skills & Mindset:
• Deep experience in using Java.
• You understand that reading code is more difficult than writing code.
• You should have about 6+ years of previous work experience.
• Experience with web application/service development.
• SQL Knowledge.
• You know how to get legacy code under test.
• You need to be curious and willing to discuss and exchange knowledge with team members.
• You need to be a communicative member of an agile delivery team consisting of Devs, QAs and PO.
• It would be advantageous if you have experience with some of the other technologies that we use; Tomcat, Maven, Spring, MongoDB, Guava, Guice, MySQL, Nginx, Linux, Jenkins, and GIT, docker, Kubernetes, gcloud.
• You must be fluent in written and spoken English.
