Role Overview

We are seeking a hands‑on Infrastructure Engineer to join the Performance Optimization Squad within the Platform organization. You will work alongside senior engineers and data scientists to drive large‑scale infrastructure cost and performance optimization initiatives across a production environment supporting thousands of services.

The role focuses on automation, infrastructure efficiency, reliability engineering, and cloud optimization, with a strong emphasis on execution and measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive infrastructure cost and performance optimization initiatives.
• Design and implement automation to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Execute performance tuning and reliability improvements across production systems.
• Analyze cloud resource utilization and cost trends.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify optimization opportunities.
• Support incident response, troubleshooting, and operational excellence.

Required Skills

• 3–5+ years of experience in Infrastructure, Platform, SRE, or Backend Engineering.
• Strong Kubernetes experience (preferably GKE).
• Proficiency in at least two of the following: Java, Go, Python.
• Strong scripting and automation expertise.
• Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Compute, Networking, IAM, Cost Management).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Helm.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices.
