Job summary

Spotify is looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join the WhoSampled team, a new addition to their ecosystem. In this role, you will build and maintain systems across the stack, from backend to frontend, and tackle AI-driven improvements in metadata matching.

The ideal candidate has a background in Python and Java, experience with PostgreSQL, and is comfortable in cloud environments. This position offers flexibility in work location within EMEA.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building production software across stacks.
• Comfortable moving between languages and strong in Python and Java.
• Production experience with Postgres and familiarity with ElasticSearch.
• Experience with TypeScript and React for user-facing features.
• Comfortable with cloud environments and keeping systems reliable.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and frontend interfaces.
• Evolve database matching to Spotify's catalog with ML-assisted approaches.
• Lead infrastructure work to modernize WhoSampled's foundations.
• Design, build, ship, and operate systems you own.
• Integrate AI tooling into engineering practices for efficiency.
