Job summary

Spotify is hiring a Senior Fullstack Engineer for the Internationalisation Platform. The role focuses on building scalable localization workflows and global content delivery across 180+ markets.

You will work with frontend and backend teams to ship features that resonate worldwide, from São Paulo to Stockholm. The position requires deep experience with distributed systems, APIs, and modern frontend/backend tech, plus a passion for inclusive products that serve diverse languages and cultures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production-grade software as a fullstack engineer.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks and backend development (Java/Kotlin/TypeScript).
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and scalable service architecture.
• Ability to design systems with global scale, localization, and performance in mind.
• Experience in cross-functional environments with clear communication and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve platforms and services powering localization and content delivery.
• Develop high-quality frontend and backend solutions to ship globally from day one.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to embed internationalisation early.
• Improve developer experience with intuitive tooling, documentation, and self-serve frameworks.
• Drive technical direction for cross-platform initiatives impacting millions of users.
• Identify performance, scalability, and reliability improvements for global expansion.
• Contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
