Job summary
Volvo Group is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel Environmental in the Trucks Technology and Industrial Division to strengthen legal support for industrial projects and operations. You will partner with technology, purchasing, and operations and contribute to the Legal Value Chain Functions team across sites.
The role focuses on environmental law topics within projects and operations, with opportunities to engage in broader regulatory and commercial matters in a global manufacturing context.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in in-house legal roles or law firms, ideally with international exposure.
- Strong background in environmental law and willingness to broaden into construction matters.
- Interest in purchasing, technology, and operations.
- Experience handling large projects and global manufacturing environments.
- Ability to build trust and collaborate across functions.
- Proactive, accountable mindset with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Experience from a law firm is welcome, especially when moving closer to business.
Responsibilities
- Provide proactive, business-oriented legal support to the Trucks Technology and Industrial Division in large industrial projects and ongoing operations.
- Offer clear, pragmatic legal advice focusing on environmental law, permitting matters, and authority interactions.
- Draft, review and negotiate construction, project and other agreements.
- Instruct and coordinate external legal resources as needed.
- Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to provide commercially sound legal guidance.
- Own and develop your area as an active team member.
