Job summary

Incluso AB in Gothenburg seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design and develop platform software for powertrain ECUs, from prototype to production, on site.

The assignment begins September 2026 with a six-month fixed-term contract through Incluso, with extension possible, and is 100% on site in Gothenburg. You will work across the full SDLC, implement AUTOSAR-based software, and collaborate with hardware and software teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with embedded C/C++ in automotive/electric vehicle contexts.
• Knowledge of debugging tools and on-chip debugging techniques.
• Familiarity with software configuration and issue tracking.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex platform software (low level and middleware) for powertrain ECUs, from prototype to production.
• Work across the full product development lifecycle, including prototyping, requirements, architecture, design, estimation, implementation, and testing.
• Implement software based on AUTOSAR architecture for electronic control units.
• Provide development and debugging support for integrating functions into the control unit.
• Ensure development of reliable and critical EV components.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for a global company inGothenburg.

Start is in Sep 2026, 6-months limited contract to begin with, possibility of extension after that.

Assignment description

• Design and develop complex platform software (low level and middleware) for powertrain electronic control units, from prototype to production
• Software development across the full product development lifecycle, including prototyping, requirements definition, architectural and detailed design, estimation, implementation, unit-testing, integration testing, documentation, design and code reviews.
• Implement software based on AUTOSAR architecture for electronic controls units
• Provide design, development, and debug support for integrating individual functions into the control unit
• Be responsible for development of highly reliable and critical electric vehicle components

Skill requirements

• Knowledge of SW versioning systems (SVN, git)
• Experience in one of the programming languages C/C++
• Knowledgeable in issue, configuration and test management solutions
• Hands-on experience with on-chip debugging tools and troubleshooting both software and hardware
• Excellent Embedded C language skills- including compiler and linker
• Knowledge of OS coding techniques, communication protocols (UART, CAN, SPI, LIN), hardware interfaces and subsystems
• Knowledge and development of low-level drivers for microcontroller peripherals: DI, DO, ADC, DAC, Timer, PWM, DMA, Watchdog, etc.
• Agile SW development skills (Scrum/Kanban)
• Clear in communication and teamwork

This is a full-time consultant position inGothenburg through Incluso. Start is in in Sep 2026, 6 months limited contract to begin with. This role is 100% onsite inGothenburg.
