Job summary

Beijer Electronics is seeking a senior developer to join our embedded team in Malmö. You will help build and maintain the Linux-based operating system platform for our industrial HMI products, focusing on reliability, security, and long-term platform strategy.

You will work with the Product Manager and architects, turning platform requirements into robust, maintainable solutions, while mentoring peers and contributing to a collaborative engineering culture.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with embedded Linux development.
• Good practical knowledge of Yocto and BitBake.
• Experience with low-level Linux development.
• Experience with U-Boot.
• Experience with Git and modern version control practices.
• Fluency in English, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Translate platform requirements into robust, secure, and easy-to-maintain solutions.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Manager, Product Architect, and teammates.
• Contribute to strong, collaborative engineering culture and open communication.
• Understand the wider context of product usage and communicate complex topics clearly.
