Job summary

Microsoft Sweden 1172 AB is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to help design, test and operate mission-critical electrical systems for large-scale datacentres. You will join the CO+I team, support 24x7x365 operations, and act as onsite technical authority for electrical infrastructure across campus facilities.

• Understand the design and functionality of your datacenter

• Act as the technical authority for on-site operations related to a large-scale mission critical electrical system, design, and functionality
• Establish and coordinate maintenance and safety procedures, maintaining highly redundant electrical designs
• Managing the electrical infrastructures throughout datacenter campus ranging from a single large capacity facility, to several smaller ones

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Extensive years of technical engineering experience
• OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND several years of technical engineering experience
• OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND several years of technical engineering experience

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

While not required, we also look for the following Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in mission-critical facilities such as datacentres, utilities, industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, or similar high-availability environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, maintenance strategies, reliability engineering, and operational best practices.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives, solve critical infrastructure challenges, and drive operational improvements.
