Job summary

Eaton Corporation is looking for a Senior Electrician to join their team in Gävle, responsible for commissioning and maintaining Power Quality and Distribution solutions for critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will lead installation efforts, ensure timely project execution, and mentor fellow engineers.

Qualifications

Senior Electrician – Gävle

What you’ll do:

Eaton in Gävle plays a key role in commissioning and live service operations for a customer hyperscale data center projects. Our local teams ensure delivering cutting‑edge Power Quality (UPS) and Power Distribution solutions (Transformers, Switchgears, Relay Protection) across low to high voltage systems. Be part of a dynamic and supportive environment where innovation meets reliability in critical infrastructure.

• Lead installation and perform maintenance & commissioning, testing and fault‑finding of Eaton‑manufactured MV and HV equipment.
• Act as the primary customer contact during project execution.
• Support and mentor other service engineers, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
• Collaborate with project management to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Installer background with suitable electrical education.
• Relevant working knowledge as Electrician.
• Proven experience in power distribution testing and commissioning.
• Ability to test and commission large Medium/High voltage installations; proficiency with test equipment is an advantage (Megger, Fluke, Omicron).
• Skilled in protection relay programming and testing is preferred.
• Professional level of Swedish and English language knowledge is a must.
• Driving licence and able to travel if required.
• Customer focus, proactive and flexible personality.
• Ability to work with different cultures and follow instructions.
