Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Principal Expert Cloud Operations to join a skilled team in Lund. You will lead, design, and implement a Kubernetes-based system, providing monitoring dashboards and proactive alerts.

The role emphasizes automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code, with a strong focus on security and cross-team collaboration. You will mentor engineers, shape technical decisions, and ensure high availability and performance while communicating complex tech clearly in English.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in monitoring and alerting, with SLA exposure.
• Experience guiding a team and bridging Product Owner and technical team.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and extended toolbox is required.
• Proficient in Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps.
• Strong networking knowledge and troubleshooting in complex networks.
• Experience developing Kubernetes controllers/operators.
• Collaborates with Cyber Security to implement security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team, communicating decisions between Product Owner and technical team.
• Facilitate key technical decisions and proactively manage technical debt.
• Develop, operate and monitor Kubernetes-based systems with automation in CI/CD.
• Provide monitoring dashboards and actionable alerts for incident detection.
• Support integration between components via a Web Portal.
• Apply Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps practices across environments.
