Overview

Are you passionate about observability, large-scale infrastructure, and working in a collaborative, forward-thinking tech environment? Telia’s DM&C IT Observability unit within the Tech IT PC Data Mediation and Cybersecurity division is building and maintaining internal observability platforms that empower DevOps and maintenance teams to develop and operate services with confidence and clarity. We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join us.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain internal observability platforms such as Grafana Dashboard as a Service (DaaS) and Observability as a Service (OaaS).
• Integrate and manage tools including Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Mimir, Tempo and OpenTelemetry.
• Operate and optimize applications on Rancher-managed Kubernetes clusters and virtual machines.
• Automate service provisioning with Ansible and ArgoCD.
• Support DevOps operations across multiple Nordic and Baltic countries.
• Maintain a robust toolchain with GitHub and Keycloak.
• Monitor system performance, participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, and contribute to continuous improvement in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Deep experience with Kubernetes, including managing full cluster lifecycles and orchestrating containerized workloads.
• Hands-on experience with observability stacks such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and a solid understanding of monitoring, log analysis, and tracing distributed systems.
• Proficiency in CI/CD practices using tools like ArgoCD and GitHub Actions.
• Infrastructure as Code experience with Pulumi or Terraform.
• Solid programming foundation; Rust experience is a bonus.
• Comfort navigating Linux environments and troubleshooting system-level issues.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry is a plus.
• Fluency in English for cross-functional, international collaboration.

Location and Compensation

(For applicants in Lithuania, monthly salary range for this position: 4200 – 6400 EUR before tax deduction.)

We are mainly located in Sweden, with key locations in Solna, Karlstad, and Sundsvall. This position is also open in Helsinki (Finland), Vilnius (Lithuania), Tallinn (Estonia), and Oslo (Norway).
