Scania, part of TRATON Group R&D in Södertälje, Sweden, seeks a Senior Development Engineer to own electrical/electromechanical components in thermal management for electrified vehicles. You will manage the full development journey from concept to production introduction and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with electrical or electromechanical components.
• Fluency in English is essential for an international environment.
• Ability to lead collaboration with internal experts, suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the component end-to-end: from concept and requirements through sourcing, development, testing and production introduction.
• Develop technical requirements translating vehicle and system needs into clear specifications.
• Drive supplier development and technical discussions to ensure right component for vehicles.
• Investigate technical issues, determine root causes and drive solutions with specialists and suppliers.
• Collaborate across electrical, software, mechanical installation, testing, production and purchasing.
• Evaluate new technologies and contribute to long-term component strategy as electrification progresses.
• Collaborate globally with TRATON Group colleagues to influence solutions across brands and markets.
