Job summary

Volvo Car AB in Gothenburg is seeking an engineer for Function Realisation and System Design within Thermal Management. You will coordinate the electrical realization of Thermal Management functionality, collaborating with system architects, SW developers, CAE engineers and component owners.

We require a university degree in mechatronics, electrical or electronics with 5+ years in automotive software or function development; strong analytical skills; fluent English; and a valid driving licence

Qualifications

BSc or MSc in mechatronics, electrical or electronics with 5+ years in the field.
Experience from SW/Function development and/or testing in automotive development is meritorious.
Experience in control technology and diagnostics concept development is an advantage.
Fluent in English and hold a valid driving licence (B).

Responsibilities

Lead the system design and implementation of Thermal Management functionality across departments.
Break down functional behavior to requirements for SW implementation.
Lead system design with allocation of software components, actuators, and sensors.
Lead the System Safety work within the thermal area and participate in related work packages.
Contribute to future development and improvement of Thermal Management functionalities.
Participate in developing the Verification plan (AVN) on system- and complete vehicle level.
