Job summary

Scrambly is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to own the end-to-end modelling that determines how we spend and earn money. You will forecast user and cohort value, set pricing thresholds for acquisitions, and build segmentation to optimize monetisation while guarding against abuse.

You will collaborate with engineers and commercial teams to ensure models drive real decisions and business value. You will lead production-ready modelling efforts, working with a small, autonomous team under the Head

Qualifications

• 4+ years as a data scientist with production models driving real decisions.
• Hands-on experience with LTV or ROAS prediction in ads or mobile marketing environments.
• Adtech or mobile performance marketing background.
• Strong Python and SQL; production experience with a cloud data warehouse (BigQuery).
• Rigour about evaluation: out-of-sample discipline and robust metrics.
• Experience shipping models into production and using them for decisions.
• Commercial judgement and clear communication with non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-directed, small-team collaboration with minimal process.
• English at B2+, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Value prediction: forecast user and cohort value from early behaviour and across revenue streams.
• Bidding and pricing: model what we are willing to pay to acquire users and control spend.
• Segmentation and targeting: build scoring/segmentation for value-driven actions.
• Fraud and abuse: improve fraud models while avoiding penalties on real users.
• Evaluation: define metrics and maintain out-of-sample validity, backtesting, and monitoring.
• Collaboration: work with Head of Data, engineers, and commercial teams to turn model output into decisions.
