Job summary

Scrambly is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer to build and run the data platform behind the commercial side of Scrambly—the pipelines and models for spend, rewards, and ecosystem protection.

You will design analytical pipelines, turn raw events into trustable tables, size opportunities, set thresholds, and inform business decisions with data-driven insights. This is an early-stage data team role with clear impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in analytics engineering or data engineering with pipelines in production.
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills, handling layered warehouse design.
• Proficiency in Python for data work and familiarity with Git.
• English at B2+ level, written and spoken.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (BigQuery, Dataform) is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain analytical pipelines in Dataform on BigQuery from source data to downstream tables.
• Analyse business questions, design thresholds, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Take ownership of existing pipelines, document them, and keep them running in production.
• Create testing, assertion, and alerting to ensure data trust in models for commercial decisions.
• Collaborate with Head of Data, Data Scientists, Backend, and commercial teams.
• Help manage warehouse costs and improve query performance while promoting good data practices.
