Job summary

Scania seeks a Senior Data Scientist to shape how we understand, value, price, and manage electric vehicle assets over time. You will own complex analytical problems and work with imperfect operational data and business tradeoffs.

You will join a small cross-functional team, linking data science with asset decisions from assumptions to model services and recommendations. Prior EV, batteries, or pricing experience is valuable, but seniority and clarity matter most.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL skills for modelling, analysis, data quality, and production code.
• Experience building models that support business decisions in pricing, risk, or asset valuation.
• Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as data science, statistics, or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop models for battery-electric vehicle usage, residual value, pricing, and portfolio risk.
• Turn data into clear decision support and document lifecycle assumptions.
• Maintain deployed models and support services including APIs and monitoring.
• Communicate technical and financial reasoning to technical and non-technical audiences.
