Job summary

Einride SWE is seeking a full-time Data Scientist to join the Solution EMEA team. This role involves designing analytical infrastructure, automating workflows using AI, and working directly with complex transportation and logistics data. You will be responsible for building tools that support customer engagements and generating actionable insights from data.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field and at least 2 years of experience in data science or analytics. Proficiency in Python and SQL is essential, along with experience in data visualization tools and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years' experience in a data science, analytics engineering, or quantitative analytics role.
• Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, etc.) and SQL are core requirements.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar.

As a Data Scientist on the Solution EMEA team at Einride, you will be both a builder and an analyst. You will play a key role in designing the analytical infrastructure that powers the team – automating manual workflows using AI as a native capability, creating internal tools that scale our work, and supporting data pipelines where needed. At the same time, a meaningful portion of your time will be spent hands‑on on customer engagements – analysing freight networks, sizing electrification opportunities, and designing solutions that land in front of logistics directors and fleet managers.

This is a role for someone who is as comfortable in a business case spreadsheet as they are designing an agentic pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Identify and automate manual analytical workflows using AI as a native capability – turning repetitive, time‑consuming processes into scalable internal solutions
• Design and maintain data pipelines to ingest, clean, and structure large‑scale transport and logistics datasets, primarily using SQL and Python
• Build and maintain internal dashboards and automated reporting and analysis tools
• Generate insights from complex transport data (fleet performance, route optimisation, energy consumption, freight lane analysis) and translate them into clear, actionable outputs
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Solution colleagues, and broader stakeholders to solve data‑oriented challenges and build solutions supporting our customer engagements.
• Stay current with advances in AI and analytics tooling – and actively integrate new approaches into the team's ways of working

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar
• Minimum 2+ years' experience after graduation in a data science, analytics engineering, or quantitative analytics role
• Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, etc.) and SQL are core requirements – you are comfortable wrangling large, messy datasets
• Comfortable applying GenAI tools (Claude, Gemini, etc.) as native building blocks for automating analytical workflows and constructing internal tools
• Hands‑on experience with cloud data platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar
• Proficiency in data visualisation tools – Looker Studio in particular – and a strong instinct for turning data into clear, compelling visual stories
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights that drive decisions
• Comfortable working in a commercial context: able to read a business situation, frame analysis around what a customer or stakeholder actually needs, and communicate findings without hiding behind the data
• Self‑starter and team player: you take ownership of problems, work well with ambiguous real‑world data, and communicate technical findings clearly to non‑technical stakeholders
• Interest in transport, logistics, e‑mobility, and sustainability – curiosity about the domain is a genuine advantage

This is a full‑time position based in Stockholm or Gothenburg.
