Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Head of Data Science & Credit Risk in Sweden to lead ML-powered underwriting and risk decisioning across markets.

You will own the full model lifecycle from development to monitoring, build a high‑performing team of data scientists and risk analysts, and partner with Engineering, Product and Finance to drive measurable business impact.

This is a strategic leadership role in a mission‑driven fintech focused on fairer credit access.

Qualifications

• 10+ years combined experience in data science and consumer credit risk, fintech focus preferred.
• Proven leadership experience building and mentoring technical teams.
• Production ML experience with real-time or near real-time decisioning.
• Strong experimentation and AB testing capabilities; data-driven decisioning.
• Understanding of IFRS 9 and regulatory considerations across markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead ML model design, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing improvements for credit decisioning.
• Develop underwriting policies and risk frameworks across multiple markets.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing data science and risk analytics team.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product and Finance to translate insights into business impact.
• Establish model governance, versioning, and production lifecycle practices.
