Job summary

Doktor.Se is rebuilding its data platform in Stockholm to deliver scalable, trustworthy reports and analytics across Sweden and beyond. You will own foundational data work, unify sources, and shape the warehouse strategy with strong ownership and collaboration with product, backend, and finance teams.

You’ll work in a small, autonomous data engineering team and apply AI to automate boilerplate, transformations, and analyses—driving a modern, resilient data platform for a growing medical services

Qualifications

• Designed and run data platforms in production, with an eye for scalable architecture.
• Fluent in Python and SQL with strong opinions on warehouse use and schema discipline.
• Experience with dbt or equivalent and data modelling (staging, marts, tests).
• Working knowledge of one or more managed warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
• Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).
• Treats data contracts as a product problem and communicates this to backend engineers.
• GDPR fluency and healthcare data awareness are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reshape data foundations—multi-tenancy, retention, and data contracts with backend services.
• Decide the warehouse strategy and shape it (self-hosted Postgres, dbt, and external warehouses).
• Unify data sources: operational databases, Amplitude analytics, and S3 integrations.
• Build observability into the platform: lineage, freshness, and meaningful alerts.
• Own reporting used by finance, operations, and board; ensure trust by design.
• Collaborate with backend, product, and finance as a peer, not a service desk.
• Apply AI to boilerplate, schema generation, transformation logic, and exploratory analysis.
