Cerve is hiring a Data Engineer to design and improve data products at the core of our platform. You’ll help build scalable pipelines and reliable data services that drive insights across the business.

You’ll collaborate with engineering and product teams to ship features, maintain high coding standards in Go on GCP, and ensure observability and data quality as we grow.

The role offers a hybrid setup with relocation support and strong tech: MacBook and modern tooling to excel.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on data engineering with ownership of architecture decisions.
• Experience building data pipelines for user-facing products, such as RAG systems or analytics.
• Strong design skills for operational stores and analytics platforms.
• Solid testing and code review practices.
• Familiarity with Go and cloud infrastructure on GCP.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain ingestion and transformation pipelines from real-world data.
• Own architectural decisions across Cloud Spanner, GCS, Cloud Run and Go codebase.
• Build retrieval systems and data layers powering agent-facing features.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to ship features with high leverage and low effort.
• Write clean, tested code and improve quality as the team grows.
• Implement monitoring to ensure reliability and data quality.
