Job summary

Infoplus Technologies UK Limited is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join Volvo Cars data engineering team, focused on building and operating data pipelines and trusted datasets from embedded platforms, cloud, and telemetry sources.

The role emphasizes development of data models, quality checks, monitoring, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including dashboards support, security compliance, and documentation for knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years in data engineering with at least 4 years hands-on production data pipelines.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Experience with pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, ADF or similar).
• Strong data modelling, ETL/ELT, and data quality practices.
• Knowledge of cloud data solutions (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Experience with logs, events, telemetry or time-series data and APIs (REST, Kafka, MQTT).
• Git, CI/CD, unit and data testing.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated, production-grade data pipelines (batch and streaming).
• Process logs, events, measurements, and telemetry at high volume.
• Develop shared data models, schemas and transformations for analysis-ready datasets.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, alerting, and data lineage.
