Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Lund to join a cross-functional team building scalable data solutions for engineering across the product lifecycle. You will work with logs, telemetry, events, and measurement data to transform raw information into trusted data products, enabling better insights and decisions.

You will design and maintain data pipelines, implement data quality controls, and collaborate with multiple teams to deliver secure, well-documented solutions and scalable data

Qualifications

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform development.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with APIs, telemetry data, event-driven systems, or large-scale datasets.
• Experience with data modeling, orchestration, and pipeline monitoring.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines.
• Build automated solutions for data ingestion, transformation, and validation.
• Develop and maintain shared data models and datasets.
• Implement data quality controls, monitoring, and observability.
