Job summary

Scania, part of the TRATON Group R&D based in Södertälje, Sweden, seeks a senior Data Architect to guide architecture and data models for E/E analytics, and to help build reusable data capabilities and AI-enabled use cases.

You will collaborate with data engineers, analysts and governance teams to ensure reliable reporting, KPIs and scalable data products across brands, with a focus on data quality, lineage and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering, analytics or modern data platforms with architectural leadership.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, semantic layers and integration patterns.
• Experience with cloud-based data environments such as AWS, Snowflake or similar.
• Experience working with data from multiple systems or in software development environments.
• A structured approach to data quality, traceability, ownership and governance.
• The ability to explain architectural choices to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Shape and evolve the architecture for E/E engineering data.
• Design and review data models and integration patterns.
• Guide data engineering practices for data quality, lineage and ownership.
• Work with analysts and stakeholders to support reliable reporting and KPIs.
• Identify opportunities to make data products and pipelines reusable, including AI-enabled use cases.
• Provide architectural guidance through design reviews, prototypes or problem-solving.
• Collaborate with product owners, engineering stakeholders, and data governance teams.
