About the Role

Rovio, part of the SEGA family, is renowned for its flagship IP Angry Birds. Data drives everything we do, enabling us to improve games and deliver incredible experiences to millions of users worldwide. Your role as a Senior Data Analyst will turn raw data into actionable insights for Angry Birds 2, supporting a live ops pod and collaborating with key stakeholders.

Location: Stockholm studio (hybrid – about 3 days per week onsite). We can assist with relocation and work permits if you are not currently based in Sweden.

Impact and Responsibilities

You will have impact and fun at work by:

• Working with pod members to participate in the end‑to‑end process of new feature development from planning, research and testing to launch and post‑launch evaluation.
• Providing objective perspectives and recommendations across all phases of decision making, leveraging technical skills to mine raw data for valuable information.
• Designing and running in‑game A/B test experiments to improve game monetization performance and audience satisfaction.
• Creating dashboards and reports to help the game team understand findings.
• Proactively exploring data and seeking opportunities to improve gameplay experience.
• Collaborating closely with peer Data Analysts, Product Managers, Designers and Producers to continuously improve interpretation of game metrics and decision making.
• Coaching and sharing best practices within the data craft and the broader game team.

Qualifications and Experience

• High proficiency in SQL.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or R.
• Solid understanding of statistics (hypothesis testing, regression, bias analysis).
• Experience in product analysis and experimental design, including A/B testing.
• Excellent presentation and collaboration skills with proven ability to present data and provide actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Prior experience as an analyst in mobile games or apps with large audiences.
• Passion for playing games and understanding what makes a successful feature.
