Volvo Group in Gothenburg, Sweden, is seeking a Senior Cost Engineer to lead cost estimation, tooling investments, and cost optimization across the product lifecycle. The role collaborates with engineering, purchasing, project management and suppliers to deliver cost-efficient designs and sourcing decisions.

Ideal candidates will have a mechanical engineering background, strong cost modeling skills and extensive experience in manufacturing processes, with fluency in English.

Formación

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost calculations.
• Experience in investment evaluations and cost analysis.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Estimate part costs and tooling investments across the product lifecycle.
• Perform cost target setting and detailed cost breakdown analyses.
• Support design-to-cost, manufacturability reviews and supplier negotiations.
• Evaluate production methods and material choices for cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, project management and suppliers.
