Jobgether is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Python/Django) based in Sweden to join a fully remote, international team. You will build high-performance microservices and scalable APIs supporting millions of travelers worldwide, and contribute to architecture, testing, reviews, and automation.

You will work closely with Product and QA to translate complex requirements into resilient solutions, tackle technical debt, and optimize performance in a high-load environment while maintaining strong

Qualifications

5+ years of backend development experience with Django and DRF.
Strong Python proficiency and backend architecture knowledge.
Experience designing microservices and integrating third-party systems.
Proven unit testing experience (Pytest) and quality-focused development.
Async programming experience and optimizing high-load queries.
Proficient in API design, architecture patterns, and maintainable code.
Excellent English communication in distributed teams.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain mission-critical microservices using Python, Django, and DRF.
Design scalable APIs to support high-concurrency traffic.
Contribute to software architecture with focus on operations and automation.
Establish and maintain quality through unit tests and automated checks.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and N+1 query issues.
Collaborate with product, QA, and other teams across international locations.
Promote engineering best practices, code quality, and documentation.
Drive automation initiatives to improve development and operations.
