Job summary

Lunar in Stockholm is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Lending team and build lending products from the ground up for 1M+ users. You will own end-to-end architecture, design distributed, event-driven services, and collaborate with product, design and risk in a regulated space.

We value autonomy, deep systems thinking, and experience with cloud tech. Go experience is a bonus, and we’ll support you to ramp up. Expect high ownership and real impact.

Qualifications

• Solid backend experience delivering complex systems at scale.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and distributed systems.
• Cloud technologies experience; Go is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and build distributed, event-driven services behind lending and overdraft products, owning them from architecture to production.
• Take end-to-end ownership of core lending domains, balancing reliability, performance, and speed as scale grows.
• Lead technical discussions on system design and mentor teammates.
• Collaborate with product, design, and risk to ship lending experiences in a regulated space.
• Explore AI opportunities to improve lending decisions and user experiences.
