Betalo is a Swedish payment institution seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to take technical ownership of our backend, architecture, and infrastructure. You will steer the technical direction and collaborate with product and engineering to ensure reliable payments.

We value hands-on, decisive leadership and pragmatic, production‑oriented design. The role is based in Stockholm, with a focus on regulated operations and scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong production Go experience required.
• Hands-on AWS and Terraform experience.
• Regulatory/fintech context is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Make architecture decisions and set the backend roadmap.
• Design, build and operate payment services (Go, PostgreSQL).
• Own cloud infrastructure: AWS, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines.
