We are a fast‑moving technology company and one of the most successful providers of online reward and benefits solutions in the world. We believe that everyone deserves an exceptional experience at work, every day, and build workplace technology that makes this happen. Benifex’s mission is to build remarkable experiences that employees love. Today Benifex supports more than five million employees in over 3,000 organisations across more than 100 countries. To help us on our quest to be the best, we need brilliant people on board and that’s where you come in.
As a Software Developer in our FPS Foundations team, you will work almost entirely on backend development (90%+), with occasional, light frontend involvement. The team owns the foundational components and services that the rest of the platform is built on, such as the core frameworks, the user and company data domain, and the APIs and platform services that every other team depends on. Reliability, data integrity and security are central to everything the team delivers.
This role focuses on turning business and architectural needs into well‑built, maintainable systems: designing clean APIs, evolving long‑lived frameworks safely, and sharing knowledge across our internal developer community. You will also help shape our ways of working and technical direction, working alongside a tech lead, a product manager and an engineering manager in Gothenburg. We are also on a journey to use AI more deliberately in our daily engineering work and want someone who has practical experience with AI‑assisted coding workflows or who wants to explore how these tools can help us move faster, improve quality and reduce repetitive work without lowering our engineering standards.
Our recruitment process will begin in mid‑to‑late August, once the hiring team has returned from their summer holidays. We appreciate your patience and look forward to reviewing your application.
We are a proud member of the Disability Confident employer scheme. If you require reasonable adjustments at any stage during the recruitment process, please let us know with your application.
