Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking an experienced Senior Automotive Platform Developer to build and optimize platform-level software for Android-based infotainment systems in automotive environments.

You will develop high-performance C++ middleware and native services, integrate with the Android framework, and work across architecture, HMI, and vehicle teams to ensure robust, scalable platform solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience with C++.
• Strong knowledge of modern C++ (C++14/17 or later).
• Understanding of Linux/Embedded Linux environments.
• Experience with Android Framework, AOSP, native services, Binder/IPC, AIDL, and system services.
• Experience with Android NDK and C++.
• Experience with Git, Gerrit, CI/CD, debugging, and profiling tools.
• Strong system-level debugging and RCA skills.
• Ability to work across multiple layers of a complex stack.
• Familiarity with automotive protocols (Flexray, SOME/IP, Ethernet) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop platform-level software components for Android-based automotive infotainment systems.
• Develop and maintain high-performance C++ middleware, services, and system components.
• Work with the Android platform to integrate automotive-specific functionality.
• Develop and integrate native Android services and components using C++.
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues across application, middleware, Android framework, and platform.
• Collaborate with Android application developers to provide stable platform APIs and services.
• Participate in platform architecture, design, implementation, reviews, and integration.
• Optimize software for performance, memory, startup time, and resource utilization.
• Investigate complex system-level issues using logs, traces, and profiling tools.
• Support integration and validation in SIL/HIL and complete-vehicle environments.
• Collaborate with system architects, HMI teams, application developers, vehicle integration teams, and external suppliers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of platform architecture and software quality.
