Job summary

Rebtel is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to secure trustworthy data and enable scalable analytics. You will own the transformation layer in dbt, manage the Looker semantic layer, and ensure well-modeled, tested, and trusted data across the organization.

You will collaborate with product, growth, finance, and operations to deliver self-service data products. You will partner with a Data Engineer on platform quality and standards, and work across stakeholders to turn data needs into reliable

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or a closely related role.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on production experience with dbt.
• Experience owning a semantic layer, with LookML and Looker strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of dimensional modeling and analytics engineering best practices and architectures.
• Familiarity with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong documentation and communication skills; you can explain data to both engineers and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain dbt transformations (facts, dimensions, data marts) powering self-service analytics.
• Own Rebtel's semantic layer: write and maintain LookML, manage Looker administration, ensure accurate, discoverable self-service data.
• Enforce data quality through testing, validation, and monitoring across the transformation layer.
• Drive data documentation and literacy to help stakeholders understand and use data, including AI agents.
• Optimize query performance and efficiency across the Snowflake data platform.
• Collaborate with Data Engineer on modeling standards, reliability, and end-to-end pipeline quality.
• Understand stakeholder data needs and turn them into reliable, well-structured data products.
• Stay current with analytics engineering best practices and guide data platform evolution.
