Job summary

Zendr is building a new data platform from the ground up. You will own the data infrastructure, create an analytical layer, and enable self-service BI for business users.

You will influence technology choices and architecture while partnering with the CTO and Platform Lead to shape the evolving data stack. You will work with AWS serverless services, focus on data quality and governance, and collaborate with domain teams to deliver robust, scalable pipelines that empower analytics and AI

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of data engineering experience building and maintaining production data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data pipelines from operational databases to a dedicated analytical data store.
• Own the data platform end-to-end: ingestion, transformation, storage, and the query layer for business users.
• Set up self-service BI tooling for non-technical stakeholders.
• Define semantic layer with consistent definitions for key metrics (revenue, delivery performance, customer metrics).
• Enable data access for AI workflows with governance over exposed data.
• Integrate third-party data sources into the platform where needed.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting.
• Collaborate with domain teams to shape data and ensure solid pipeline contracts.
• Own data governance, retention, access control, and compliance across the platform.
• Co-decide tooling/architecture with CTO and Platform Lead as the platform evolves.
