Job summary

Cast AI is seeking a platform engineer to build and scale an AI assistant on top of Kubernetes. You will design agent flows, implement MCP server components, and ensure secure, permissioned access across cloud providers.

This role emphasizes production-grade Go services, reliability, and fast delivery cycles. You will contribute to cloud connectivity (AWS/GCP/Azure) and data foundations, while owning features end-to-end in a remote-first global team.

Qualifications

• Strong Go experience in production systems and large-scale SaaS platforms.
• Proven background building or operating multi-tenant, high-volume services.
• Solid Kubernetes expertise with autoscaling and networking concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices in production environments.
• Excellent English, both written and verbal, in a startup context.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the systems behind our AI assistant: agent flows and context retrieval.
• Develop and evolve the MCP server to support customers using their own AI clients.
• Maintain cloud connectivity across AWS, GCP, and Azure and data foundations for agents.
• Write production Go services that interact with cloud APIs and Kubernetes components.
• Own features end-to-end from design through testing to production rollout (usually 1–4 weeks).
• Debug complex problems like wrong answers, cross-cloud permissions, and data freshness at scale.
• Build a quality harness: evals, telemetry, feedback loops to prevent regressions.
• Contribute to product direction and backlog; participate in the on-call rotation.
