Job summary

EFESO Consulting AB seeks a Senior AI Governance & Architecture Expert to shape and deliver AI-driven transformations for clients. You will combine strategic thinking with deep technical expertise to define scalable AI architectures, governance frameworks and responsible AI adoption across complex enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in AI, enterprise architecture, data architecture, or related technology disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI principles, risk management, and model lifecycle management.
• Proven experience designing scalable architectures for machine learning, generative AI, and enterprise AI applications.
• Strong understanding of large language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, and their integration into enterprise environments.
• Experience with cloud-based AI and data platforms, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or Databricks.
• Familiarity with AI governance/regulatory frameworks including EU AI Act, GDPR, ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF.
• Experience defining technical standards, reference architectures, and implementation roadmaps.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical teams and senior management.
• A pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset balancing innovation, business value and governance.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in an international consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise AI architectures, ensuring scalability, security, interoperability, and alignment with business objectives.
• Define and establish AI governance frameworks, including policies, standards, risk management processes, and model lifecycle management.
• Guide clients in the responsible adoption of AI, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards such as EU AI Act and GDPR.
• Design architectures supporting traditional ML, generative AI, LLMs, and AI agents.
• Assess existing client technology landscapes and define target architectures and implementation roadmaps for AI adoption.
• Establish standards and best practices for MLOps, LLMOps, model monitoring, and integration of AI solutions into enterprise systems.
• Translate business requirements into technical architecture and governance requirements, working with client leadership and technical teams.
• Evaluate AI technologies, platforms, and third-party solutions, providing recommendations based on business needs and feasibility.
• Provide architectural oversight and technical guidance throughout development and deployment of AI solutions.
• Collaborate with EFESO consultants, data scientists, and client teams to ensure successful project execution and sustainable capability development.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients on AI adoption, technology investments and enterprise transformation.

Your profile

We are looking for an experienced AI professional who combines strong technical expertise with an understanding of enterprise environments, business transformation, and the challenges associated with scaling AI solutions.

You are comfortable engaging with senior business and technical stakeholders while maintaining a hands-on understanding of modern AI technologies and architectures.

You bring:

• Significant professional experience in AI, enterprise architecture, data architecture, or related technology disciplines, with a proven track record of designing and implementing enterprise AI solutions.
• Strong knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI principles, risk management, and model lifecycle management.
• Proven experience designing scalable architectures for machine learning, generative AI, and enterprise AI applications.
• Strong understanding of large language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, and their integration into enterprise environments.

Educational requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Previous experience in management consulting or delivering AI transformation programs for large organizations.
• Experience implementing AI solutions in manufacturing, supply chain management, operational excellence, or other industrial environments.
