Job summary

Volvo Group is seeking a seasoned Software Asset Management professional to own SAP licensing governance, optimization, and compliance end-to-end. You will collaborate with procurement, finance, IT, and suppliers to ensure compliance, cost efficiency, and audit readiness while enabling business needs.

You will monitor license usage, drive policy development, and report on savings and optimization opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in software asset management for SAP.
• Strong knowledge of SAP licensing and contracts.
• Hands-on SAP audit process experience.
• Experience working in a global, cross-cultural context.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage license consumption metering processes for SAP products in scope.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure SAP licensing compliance.
• Identify potential compliance gaps or risks and take corrective actions.
• Develop and implement license usage policies to optimize utilization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align policies with business needs and industry best practices.
• Analyze license usage data to identify optimization opportunities and reallocation options.
• Manage contracts, licenses, and relationships to maximize value and cost efficiency.
• Maintain a centralized repository of SAP license contracts, POs, and invoices; keep documents up to date and accessible.
• Support software procurement in line with Volvo Group policies.
• Contribute to budget preparation and monitoring for software licenses.
• Serve as main contact during external audits.
• Participate in negotiations and supplier dialogues as applicable.
• Advise project and portfolio managers on licensing strategy and vendor relations.
• Stay updated on licensing models and market trends; participate in SAM communities.
• Run governance for SAP licensing portfolio and provide data-driven insights to stakeholders.
