Job summary

Astek Sweden is seeking an experienced SAP Process Expert / Advanced Key User to join a large-scale S/4HANA Transformation focused on Service Capability. You will serve as the go-to domain expert across service processes, from open market to data management and financial reporting, both during transformation and post go-live.

Role requires strong SAP SD/PM/CS exposure, data migration know-how, and collaboration with SAP module teams. On-site assignment with periodic travel may apply.

Qualifications

• Solid SAP service domain experience, ideally SD/PM/CS modules.
• Expertise as Key User / Advanced Key User in S/4HANA transformations.
• Experience with data migration, data cleansing, and validation.
• Experience in ITC/UAT and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Act as subject-matter expert and Advanced Key User for service-related SAP processes.
• Contribute to process design, configuration decisions, and testing activities.
• Support data migration, Mock 0–3 cycles, and data validation.
• Participate in ITC and UAT to validate end-to-end service processes.
• Train users and prepare go-live readiness; maintain process documentation.

Job description

Our client is running a large-scale SAP S/4HANA Transformation program focused on Service Capability, and is looking for an experienced SAP Process Expert / Advanced Key User (AKU) to join the effort. This role sits at the center of the transformation, working across the service value chain, from open market service processes and contracts/maintenance, through repair and refurbishment, to service value flow, financial reporting, and product data management for service. You will both help shape the new SAP solution during the transformation and act as the go-to domain expert and super-user once the solution goes live.

Key Responsibilities

During the transformation:

• Act as subject-matter expert and Advanced Key User for one or more service-related process areas: service open market processes, service contracts and maintenance, repair/refurbishment, service value flow, financial reporting, and/or product data management for service.
• Contribute to business process design and configuration decisions, ensuring the target SAP S/4HANA solution reflects real operational needs and best practice.
• Support data migration activities relevant to service processes, including participation in Mock 0–3 cycles, data cleansing, and data validation.
• Participate in Integration Testing (ITC) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validating end-to-end service processes against business requirements.
• Work closely with SAP module teams (SD, PM, CS) and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment across the service value chain.
• Support structuring and transparency of project deliverables, including WBS elements and related financial/process reporting, such as Event-Based Revenue Recognition (EBRR).
• Help prepare the business organization for go‑live through training, documentation, and change support.

Post go-live (as Advanced Key User):

• Serve as the primary point of contact for business users on service‑related SAP processes, troubleshooting issues and providing first‑line functional support.
• Own and maintain process documentation, working instructions, and best‑practice guidance for the service domain.
• Identify, prioritize, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives within the service capability area.
• Act as a bridge between business users and the IT/SAP support organization, translating operational needs into system requirements.
• Support onboarding and training of new users on service‑related SAP processes.

Qualifications

• Solid experience working with SAP in a service/customer service context, ideally with exposure to SD, PM, and/or CS modules.
• Strong domain knowledge of at least one of the following: service open market processes, service contracts/maintenance, repair/refurbishment, service value flow and financial reporting, or product data management for service.
• Prior experience as a Key User, Advanced Key User, or Process Expert in an SAP environment, ideally within an S/4HANA transformation or implementation project.
• Experience with data migration activities (data cleansing, validation, mock cycles) and/or structured testing (ITC/UAT) is a strong advantage.
• Ability to work independently, structure ambiguous problems, and drive clarity in a large, complex transformation program.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, comfortable operating between business and IT.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

This is a consultant assignment with Astek Sweden, working on‑site with our client on their S/4HANA Transformation – Service Capability program. The assignment involves close collaboration with both business stakeholders and the broader SAP project organization, and may require periodic travel depending on project needs.
