Job summary

Billerud is seeking an experienced SAP Development Architect to shape our global SAP landscape as part of a greenfield transformation. You will define development standards, guide engineering teams, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and business objectives.

In this role you will drive modern SAP development principles, own architecture governance, and support release processes across SAP S/4HANA, BTP, and related technologies. Frequent travel to Solna is expected.

Qualifications

Experience in SAP environments with S/4HANA implementations and transformation programs.
Expertise in ABAP OO, CDS Views, and the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).
Experience developing SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and OData services.
Good knowledge of SAP BTP and its services.
Experience with SAP integration technologies, APIs, CPI, and middleware solutions.
Understanding of Clean Core principles and SAP extensibility strategies.
Knowledge of side-by-side and in-app extension approaches.
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation in SAP environments.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

Define and maintain the SAP development architecture roadmap.
Design end-to-end solutions across SAP S/4HANA, BTP, and integrated systems.
Establish development frameworks, standards, and best practices.
Drive adoption of modern SAP development paradigms (API-first, event-driven, side-by-side extensions).
Own and govern development standards across ABAP, RAP, CDS Views, Fiori/UI5, and CAP.
Provide architectural oversight for SAP programs and teams.
Support release management and deployment processes across SAP landscape.
