Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Sweden seeks a Safety Specialist to act as the local expert for safety, business continuity and compliance.

You will drive key initiatives, support leaders and employees, and ensure adherence to company standards while fostering a proactive safety culture. You will report to the Unit Manager and collaborate with Hitachi Energy's network of Safety Coordinators and Country Security Managers for Sweden.

Qualifications

• Experience in EHS/HSE within industrial, manufacturing, or technical environments.
• Solid knowledge of environmental and occupational health and safety legislation and standards.
• Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with supplier quality or supplier development is a merit.

Responsibilities

• Drive business continuity initiatives while complying with standards and regulations.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate workplace and environmental risks.
• Lead trainings, audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Lead incident investigations and implement preventive actions.
• Collaborate with authorities and internal stakeholders to improve safety and environmental performance.
