Job summary

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Product Manager for OpenTelemetry Experience to own the end-to-end instrumentation journey for Grafana Cloud. You will lead the strategy for SDK instrumentation, automatic instrumentation, and collectors across a remote, globally distributed team.

This role emphasizes collaboration with Engineering, Design, Documentation, and GTM, and requires 5+ years in product management, strong OpenTelemetry knowledge, and the ability to drive measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Product Management experience in developer tools, observability, or similar technically complex B2B domains.
• Strong knowledge of OpenTelemetry, including SDK instrumentation, OTLP, collectors, and semantic conventions.
• Experience turning onboarding, configuration, and troubleshooting workflows into clear product experiences.

Responsibilities

• Define the vision, strategy, and cross‑product roadmap for the telemetry journey.
• Create coherent experiences across SDK instrumentation, automatic instrumentation, and Collector deployment.
• Identify and eliminate the leading causes of setup failure and low‑quality telemetry.
• Establish shared experience principles and success criteria across product and engineering teams.
• Prioritize investments using customer data and measure onboarding, time to useful telemetry, and workload expansion.
