Job summary

Soundtrack is hiring a Backend Engineer (Go) to join the Revenue Engineering team. You will design, build and maintain backend services and APIs powering subscriptions, billing, pricing, and product packaging, while ensuring reliability and cost-efficiency.

The role emphasizes collaboration across product, finance and analytics and improving core systems for scalable growth. You should bring 5+ years of backend experience, strong Go skills, API design experience and a focus on quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Go/Golang.
• Experience designing, building and maintaining APIs.
• Experience with modern backend architectures and distributed systems.
• Experience in product-focused engineering organisations.
• Strong focus on software quality, testing and maintainability.
• Excellent communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend services using Go
• Develop and evolve APIs that power core product and business functionality
• Build solutions related to subscriptions, billing, pricing, products and add-ons
• Improve, evolve and replace existing services and systems when needed
• Ensure our systems remain reliable, scalable, testable and cost-efficient
• Participate in architectural discussions and technical design decisions
• Work on data migrations and changes to business-critical systems
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers and other stakeholders across the business
• Contribute to code reviews, testing practices and engineering best practices
• Share knowledge and help strengthen the team as a whole
