Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Sweden seeks a Team Leader (M2) to drive R&D strategy, manage the HV capacitor team, and oversee development projects. You will coordinate resources, ensure compliance with R&D processes and safety standards, and build external collaborations with universities and research institutes.

The role emphasizes leadership, project execution, and cost control while advancing R&D capabilities within the organization and globally.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in technology, engineering, or research.
• Knowhow in high voltage and capacitor tech beneficial.
• Experience in people management and/or coaching.
• Strong R&D project management knowledge and use of R&D processes and tools.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the R&D team and foster a culture of quality, collaboration, and openness.
• Oversee R&D projects related to HV capacitors, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and on-scope delivery.
• Secure resources, competencies, and tools while adhering to R&D processes, technical standards, and instructions.
• Take accountability for HSE aspects within the team and infrastructure.
• Build relationships with other teams and external universities, research institutes, and other entities.
• Manage cost center and provide monthly cost reports and forecasts.
• Uphold the core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your actions and caring for colleagues and the business.
