Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Ludvika, Sweden is seeking an R&D Quality Engineer to ensure quality excellence across NPI projects and ongoing product enhancements. You will partner with engineering, manufacturing and certification teams to secure designs are validated and released in compliance with internal processes and external standards.

The role emphasizes DFMEA/PFMEA, DFM/DFA, PPAP, RCA, CAPA implementation, and readiness for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 audits, with international travel required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of Quality Management Systems and Stage-Gate/APQP.
• Knowledge of FMEA, DFM/DFA, PPAP, RCA and core quality tools.
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional and international teams.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality execution across NPI projects from concept through release.
• Integrate quality requirements into project planning and development phases.
• Drive quality risk management with DFMEA, PFMEA and reliability assessments.
• Define CTQ characteristics and support QC plan development.
• Coordinate audits for ISO 9001/14001/45001 and cierre corrective actions.
• Lead RCA and implement CAPA.
• Monitor quality performance and drive improvements.
