Global R&D/Technology Manager
As R&D Manager, you will lead, coach, and develop three teams with mixed competencies while driving innovation and supporting the development of ABB’s next generation of DCS solutions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of Research and Development (R&D) employees and support them in achieving agreed R&D targets. Each day, you will coach and develop the team. You will also leverage your expertise to support the management of technologies, platforms, and intellectual property.
You will be part of the Control Safety and Integration area within ABB’s global DCS organization and collaborate closely with teams across R&D, product development, and global business lines.

We develop today’s and tomorrow’s world‑leading Distributed Control Systems (DCS) for process industries across the globe. Our customers include pharmaceutical companies, mines, refineries, steel mills, and power plants — industries where reliability and safety are essential.
In this role, you will contribute to shaping the next generation of DCS products and safety solutions, working closely with R&D teams who use advanced simulation tools, multi‑physics models, and cutting‑edge development methods to ensure performance, safety, and innovation.
